Traditional Rugs

Traditional rugs are most commonly known as Persian or Oriental rugs. They’re often finely woven with elaborate floral patterns and intricate detail. Most traditional rugs are made with a blend of wool and silk. Our collection of traditional rugs includes rectangular and circular pieces of most sizes.

Origin

The traditional rug design originates from Persia, modern-day Iran. Persian rugs were initially woven as articles of necessity to cover the floors of nomadic tribesmen, giving them protection from the cold and damp. Now they’re one of the most sought after rug designs in the rug market.
